Hi, I'm Jeffrey Schmelkin.
I earned my Master's Degree in Performing Arts Administration with a focus in Theatrical Marketing from New York University. My Master's Thesis, titled "Utilizing Digital Marketing to Increase Accessibility to and Diversity of the Theatre: A Framework for Performing Arts Marketers," showcases my expertise in leveraging digital tools to broaden theatre audiences.
Currently, I serve as the Director of Marketing at The Theater Center, an Off-Broadway theater complex located in the heart of New York's Theater District. In this role, I develop, implement, and execute strategic marketing plans across both paid and owned channels, create and maintain partnerships, conduct market research, and oversee the marketing budget for five Off-Broadway shows. My efforts have led to a 74% increase in revenue since I assumed the position. Additionally, during my time in this position, I have become a member of the Off-Broadway League.
